Life is full of challenges. At times we cope well, but at other times we need help, and talking to family members and friends can be difficult. At points like this, talking confidentially in a safe space to a professional counsellor can make a real difference.
Through a warm and supportive relationship, we will explore any difficulties you are having in your life right now. We will also look back into your past, to try to understand patterns of behaviour that might not be quite so effective for you today.
By exploring feelings and experiences and building self-awareness, we will work together to move towards a positive change for the future.
Areas I work with
Taking the first step towards asking for support can be difficult, but once that first step has been taken, you will hopefully begin an insightful and rewarding process of self-discovery that can lead to improvement in many aspects of your life.
Sometimes we may not be able to pinpoint what is bringing us to counselling – we just have a feeling that something is ‘not right’. At other times, we may have a clearer idea of what we might need help with. Some of the areas I can help you explore in a supportive way include:
- Low self-esteem
- Self confidence
- Life transitions
- Separation and divorce
- Career
- Self-harm
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Depression
- Abuse
- Sexuality
- Carer support
- Relationships
- Work-related issues
- Family issues
- Bereavement
- Bullying
- Affairs and betrayals
