Using art-making to support emotional expression and regulation
Embodied Reflection Group is a small, in-person art-based group for adults who are interested in exploring emotional experience through bodily awareness and creative expression.
The group offers a structured and contained space to use art-making as a way of noticing, expressing, and reflecting on internal states — particularly when feelings are difficult to articulate in words.
This is not a performance-based or skills-focused art group.
Art materials are used as a reflective and expressive medium, with attention to bodily sensation, emotional tone, and personal rhythm.
The group is trauma-informed, gently facilitated, and held with clear boundaries. Sharing is always optional, and participants are encouraged to work at their own pace.
This group may be suitable if you:
- feel emotionally full, muted, or disconnected
- notice feelings emerging in the body rather than words
- are curious about expressive, embodied approaches
- would like to explore emotion in a contained group setting
No previous art experience is needed.
