My name is Jen, and I am an integrative therapist with additional training in coaching skills.
Seeking support is a courageous step, whether you’re facing a specific challenge, feeling stuck, or wanting to understand yourself more deeply. My role is to offer a calm, compassionate, and grounded space where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw from several therapeutic models to respond to your individual needs. I work collaboratively, valuing the relationship between therapist and client as the foundation for meaningful change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years working in social care — much of that time supporting older adults, individuals in vulnerable circumstances, and people navigating complex life situations. These years shaped my belief in the resilience of human beings and the importance of being met with authenticity, respect, and understanding.
Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of mental health challenges. I understand how overwhelming life can feel at times, and I offer a space that is both non-judgmental and genuinely empathetic.
Areas I Work With
I welcome clients from all backgrounds and life stages. My particular areas of experience and interest include:
Bereavement & Loss
I have experience in grief and bereavement counselling having completed my clinical placement at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. I offer compassionate support for those facing recent loss, anticipatory grief, or long-standing bereavement.
Life Transitions
Adjusting to later life, retirement, identity changes, family shifts, career transitions, or personal rediscovery.
Mental Health & Emotional Well-Being
Support for anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, burnout, and the challenges of living with long-term mental health difficulties.
Eating Disorders & Relationship with Food
Drawing on both lived and professional experience, I work sensitively with individuals struggling with restrictive eating, binge cycles, emotional eating, and body-image distress.
Alcohol Misuse & Recovery Support
Space to explore your relationship with alcohol, whether you’re contemplating change, in recovery, or supporting a loved one.
Support for Older Adults & Their Families
With decades of experience in social care, I have a particular interest in issues relating to ageing, independence, dementia in families, caregiving, isolation, loss of identity, and end-of-life experiences.
Self-Esteem, Identity & Personal Growth
Integrating therapy with coaching skills to help you understand patterns, reconnect with yourself, and move toward the life you want.
